Trip to the hospital

I came home from the doctor on Monday, super anxious, and thinking that waiting a whole week to have her would be forever.  I was bored out of my mind all day Tuesday. I picked up the house a little and started doing a little laundry. I wasn't wanting to clean or "nest" or super exhausted. Just my normal lazy self! LOL
We went to bed Tuesday night and I was in a very deep sleep (which is totally not normal) and woke up around 2:00 A.M. with these odd pains. I got out of bed and walked around, then went and watched some tv.  I downloaded a contraction timer on my phone and any time I had a pain I would start the timer.  The pains I had didn't feel like a contraction but the timing was 4-5 minutes apart so I was sorta thinking that it might be contractions that I was having. The doctor told me that my stomach would go hard and the pain starts at the top and moves down to my lower half.  These pains were like a pressure and then just a little cramp.  I woke Chase up and told him I was going to shower because of the pains, GOOD THING I DID! I got out of the shower and layed on the chair to try and get a little rest. . YA RIGHT! I  had such a strong contraction that it woke me up and shot me straight to the floor.  When it was over I went right to Chase and told him we needed to go to the hospital.  He was so tired that he just wanted me to lay next to him and he would cuddle me and make it better. I couldn't do anything but stand on the edge of the bed and cry because of the pain.  We drove like a maniac to the hospital and went to the ER.  The admitting lady was taking forever it seemed like and I didn't have time to wait. I needed to get these pains to stop now!  She got a wheelchair and wheeled me up to the 2nd floor.  They put me in room 7. . Chase helped me get my gown on, and the urine sample and the nurse hooked me up to the machines and kept asking a ton of questions.  I didn't want to talk to anyone.  She thought since I had been having these pains since 2 in the morning I would be dialated to at least a 4.  She was right! Chase called my dad and told him it was time and then called his mom. I was excited to know that she would be coming that day but nervous because I was preparing to have her in a week not that soon!
They put all my IV's in, gave me some awesome medicine to take the edge off from the contractions I was having. Then the nursenesthetist came in and gave me the epidural.  WOW extremely painful. I told my mom that I wasn't in so much pain if I had a dirty scowl on my face.  The looks took all my pain away!

At 2:05 P.M. Bentlee was born!

Update!

Chase and I went to the doctors this morning. I am 38 weeks and 3 days today.  Dr. Hughes checked me and I am 80% effaced. I am only dialated to a 2 1/2! But the good news is that my placenta has tipped so she is in the right position now!

Dr. Hughes is going to induce me on November 22, 2011. . I will go check in to the hospital at 7:00 in the morning! He is crazy! I never wake up that early! When he said 7:00 I asked him if it was the morning and he says; "well duh! You think im coming in at 7 at night and going to be here all night?!"

I was told not to eat or drink anything after midnight on the 21st. Especially a bowl of Cocoa Puffs.  He said that if I did we would be seeing them later at delivery. . He's one crazy doctor!

I'm super excited that now we have an actual day to look forward to, I just wish it was sooner than 7 days away! I'm very impatient and just want to have her now!

Only 7 days! I can do this!

14 more days!

STATS:
How far along: 38 weeks
How big is baby: a leek. .
Total weight gain:
Maternity clothes: All I wear now is sweats, everything else is just to uncomfortable!
Sleep: I sleep for about an hour and a half then wake up for a couple hours because I can't get comfortable and the heartburn is killing me!
Best moment of the week: When I went in to get checked and Dr. Hughes said I am 70% effaced and dialated to 2 centimeters! Also getting a pedicure! I wanted to just put my whole body in the tub, it was so relaxing!
Food cravings: Mcdouble from McDonalds, and anything my mom will cook for me!
Symptoms: Heartburn, shooting pains, I think the pains are from Bentlee pressing down on my nerves and sends pain all over my legs and lower abdomen.
Movement: kicking more than usual, she is getting ready to make her big debut, I can tell!
What I'm looking forward to: This week, hopefully she is ready and will come anyday.

Nursery

Since we live in apartments, we can't paint the walls or put wallpaper up. So. . we bought tons of stuff to hang on the walls and make it a little roomier!  I found the zebra flower at Hobby Lobby and sent a picture of it to Chase and told him thats what the theme of her room had to be! It's so stinkin cute.  I love zebra print, and the polka dots give it nice variety. I absolutely love her room and hope that when she gets older she will love it just as much as I do!  Chase was very excited when we got everything for her room and he wanted to help as much as he could in deciding where everything should go!  He is an awesome decorator. .
This is the dresser Grandma Cindy got for Bentlee. It took about 4 hours to assemble but totally worth it! Its super sturdy and child proofish. . You can only have one drawer open at a time! There is this cool little lock thing on the inside that won't let you open a drawer until the other ones are shut. . Grandma Cindy's friend, Judy, gave us the zebra lamp. It looks so good in the room and lets out the perfect amount of light! I like it!  When Bentlee gets here we will put her picture in the picture frame so she can see how cute she was when she was born.

I absolutely love her bedding! Grandma Jody had it all made and it turned out perfect!  It was made by Jody's aunt, Janae. . She is amazing!  I think the bedding brings the whole room together.  Chase bought Bentlee the zebra poster. We went to the state fair and had to have it.  They didn't have anymore so Chase talked the man into letting us buy the display one! I made the frame, painted the shelf and made her name block, even though you can't see her name on it.  I feel so crafty!  Chase's aunt, Monica bought that rug.  It's so cool and i've never seen anything like it before.
We also put her name above the closet and hung up a bow board for all of her hair bows but I didn't take a picture of them.  I hope she loves zebra, pink, and polka dots because her room is full of it!
